1/35 scale

is O guage 1/35 or is 1/35 bigger ?. If bigger what guage of track would a 1/35 loco run on .

I recomend that you have a look at: http://www.themodelmakersresource.co.uk ... ts012.html.

The nearest to 1/35th scale is Gauge 1, which is slightly larger at 1/32nd. scale.

O gauge is roughly 1/43 there is a decimal point after the 43 but I dont think mny people worry about that. On the continent and in America O gauge is 1/48. Many british Lima o gauge models where made to the continental scale.

Hi,

The actual figure is 1: 43.5 - as paul says the Lima work on 6.5mm to the ft instead of 7mm to the ft which is true O gauge (I think that the American O gauge is 1/4inch to the ft but I'm not sure on that). The Limas look OK until you put them next to the correct size then you see the difference. As Columbo says the 1/32 is Gauge 1 (10mm to the ft).
