Airfix & Kitmaster kits

While browsing another thread I was prompted to look for a website about these kits, I found a one and very interesting it is too.
I am sure all of us older ones made these kits at one time or another as we could not afford the "real" thing, I know I built and painted several of the locomotives and line furniture not to mention dozens of aircraft which festooned from my bedroom ceiling on threads much to the dismay of my mother and the delight of my father.

Yeah me to, as a kid I could only afford the single engine ones (Spitfire, Hurricane etc) hung up with cotton and spiderwebs :lol: Where would we be without them? Even today I'm still making them, putting a old Tri-Ang 'Nellie' chassi under a Drewry 03, but I'll be fitting skirts :roll:
