The LNER painted its NPCS vehicles in Beech Brown. At one time this colour was in the Precision Paints range, but has been withdrawn. Can anyone suggest a good match from the Humbrol or other paint ranges?

Precision do an LNER teak brown (62?) which is quite dark in colour (this was painted with it on a yellow primer, which lightens it up a bit).
Peter Tatlow reworked a Roger Chivers CCT in MRJ a while ago and he suggested Halfords Triumph Russet Brown which I haven't yet tried but will. IIRC that is quite a bit darker than the one above.

Thanks for that. I would imagine that "beech brown" was a somewhat darker colour than teak.
I will go and get a can of Halfords Triumph Russet Brown and try it out! Peter Tatlow is an authority on the LNER!
Have visited Halfords but I fear that Halfords Triumph Russet Brown is no longer made. Like Morris maroon, Bean brown or Clymo cream!

It is actually lighter than most teak since it matches new timber. If you look a good photos the solebars tend to look lighter than the bodies.
