Hi,
This is a thread I was thinking about posting MicroModels of LNER locomotives. I'll be posting pics of a model I'm building soon.

Looking good there! Nice to see someone using cardboard for a loco - did you do the design work for this yourself or is there a download available on the web for these?
I built an N gauge coach a while back but now having seen your model I think you might have inspired me to go and make some more!
Keep up the good work! Oh... and add more pics!

If it is what I think it is-
Micromodels was one of those 'boys own' type of things. A series of small card kits very popular in the 50's, printed on postcard sized card- modern equivalent being 'fiddlers green' I suppose. Usually to tiny scales the subject matter was the standard boyish subject matter of planes trains automobiles and even technological marvels such as hydro-electric powerstations and missile silos.
Mint originals are quite rare now, and some of the more popular ones have been reprinted by some companies-
www.marcle.co.uk sell some for example.
set number PG8 included an Ivatt Atlantic, accompanied by a LSWR 4-6-0 and LNWR 'Great Britain' whatever one of those was!
best of luck building the model, whatever manufacturer it is from!

These were available during the 1950s , there was also a Thompson L1 and a Merchant Navy `Channel Packet` , I bought most of them at the time , I believe the cost about sixpence each though my memory may be incorrect here, the scale was 2mm .

So sorry this thread hasn't been replied to in a while.
Yuh, I've been busy recently, but, I'm going to try and work on the model a bit more. It's looking very nice now.
