A hasty shot of my latest acquisition, a ready-to-run DJH J72 in 7mm scale. I'm afraid I don't even have a length of track to sit her on yet!

I'm still not sure whether to commit to 7mm scale more fully - the models are very satisfyingly detailed, and generally seem to represent value for money. But unless you have access to a disused Zeppelin hangar you're necessarily restricted to a model of a headshunt, albeit complete with perfect scale dandelions in the four-foot...

nice! But far short of buying a Loveless P2, how much more fully committed to 7mm could you now be!?!?! After the j72, a few wagons and a stretch of track will seem cheap. (wish I thought of that method for breaking into 7mm scale!)

Be careful of playing with 7mm, it is very addictive.

I started in 1984 and have never regretted it. Just pick up a 7mm coach and you really have something in your hand. I have just been fitting a foot rail to the bar in a buffet car, I made it of handrail knobs and brass wire, because you can see it.

Also, in latter years you can still see the model and not a performing flea.

I think 7mm has much more prescence.
I'm just about to try it out myself, my start off has been a few of the parkside dundas wagon kits. I dont have a lot of time and even less money, so I'm just taking it a kit at a time, especially as I have 2 EM layouts still on the go!
