Evening all,

Very much a newbie to not only this forum but also the Eastern Region, specifically the world of East Anglian branchlines.

I am currently building a small Cameo layout in 4mm ( 00 gauge) based on a slightly unkempt bucolic backwater "somewhere in East Anglia".

A scenic section of roughly 4ft by 16inches in old money depicts a simple goods yard which is at the end of a truncated branchline in the late 1950s to late 1960s, depending on the motive power.

Everything is RTR suitably tweaked and weathered though most of the locos await the weathering table.

I shall update on here with both layout progress and any individual items such as locos, rolling stock and buildings.

A couple more views of what is very much a work in progress but I hope you get the gist of where I am going.

Not sure if I'm senior enough to welcome you to the forums but welcome none the less.
You've certainly given us one of the more entertaining thread names.

Morning Paul,

Thank you for the welcome. The thread title is taken from the nane given to the spare bedroom in which this ex-Great Eastern backwater is housed, along with a modelling desk and two other Cameoesque layouts.

Snug springs to mind.

To put things into some kind of context, here are a couple of views of the opposite wall.

And a few more images of what will be typical motive power on typical workings.

Welcome aboard, Sheepbloke.

Nice to see an eastern-flavoured one of your layouts taking shape. I look forward to seeing it develop.

Evening Teakers and thank you.

To be honest, I'm not sure why I haven't done this sooner. The somewhat unkempt nature of some of the ex-Great Eastern branchlines in East Anglua are right up this particular sheep's street.

The diesel side of things was however, not anticipated. They are rather nice though.

Morning all,

Here's an image or two of what will be the main office.

This is a Hornby ready to plant resin building which has been repainted in places before being weathered.
