I started work on this simulation about 12 years but gave it up when it was about a third done (a third of the full 20 mile line) but gave up in 2014 however the lockdown gave me time to crack on with it again and all the trackwork is done but not much scenery in Driffield. I've posted a few videos on Youtube and this one of them. Just a note *the train is of course wrong for a line which closed to passengers in 1950 but I chose it mainly because it looked pretty ! If you watch it, select " 1080HD" on the Youtube video settings, cog wheel on the bottom right of the screen.

Thanks ! This one covers Wetwang to North Grimston with LNER A3 "Humorist" and an LNER articulated train. I can only do 12 minutes clips because I record it in 4K resolution and the file size to upload to Youtube is horrendous.

The only games I have on my home PC at present are Euro Truck Sim 2 and SimSig.
Am toying with idea of trying TrainSim 2020 (mostly the Swiss routes) - it seems a terrific advance on the original MSTS.

I bought MSTS in 2010 but couldn't get my head round the building side of it which is very easy in Trainz. I have to to admit the simulation of the Stainmore Line is fantastic.

I've recently posted a video of the full line on youtube (link below). In this one we travel on a passenger train from Driffield to Burdale then board a Chalk train from the quarry to Malton headed by a WD 2-8-0. Recent alterations have included reducing the line speed to a more appropriate 30MPH and trains now slow down at the stations where single line tablet exchange takes place.

This is a video clip where we follow a pickup goods from Wansford sidings in Driffield to Little Driffield siding where we pick up 3 wagons of Manure then leave the train at Garton Baulk crossing for an aerial view of RAF Driffield and Little Driffield village.
