Pre-Grouping waterslide transfers, with the GC right at the top
Edit: Darn, only just realised they only do GC stuff in 7mm scale
Sorry about that

POWsides do a good set in 7mm (as do Dragon Models in Wales). I am pretty sure POWsides produce them in 4mm scale too. Give them a call, very friendly people there!
Nice to have another GCR modeller on here.

Some pressfix/methfix "Great {crest} Central" tender lettering and loco crests can be obtained from Guilplates. IIRC they are slightly over scale but not by much. I'm not aware of any other sources. Fox transfers have been promising to do 4mm scale loco transfers for years but they have never materialised. However Fox do sell 4mm waterslide GC grests.

transfers for many pre-grouping companies (GCR, GER, HR, L&YR, LBSCR, NBR, NER, SECR), although not all are available in 4mm scale

Thanks everyone, the GC crests are available from Fox and are very good, he is getting around to doing the lettering but not ready as yet.
I am trying all the others to see if they are any good.

Just an update on the GC lettering situation. I had a chat with a friend at York show over Easter and he comissioned some from Steam & Things in Australia. They are the correct size. The link is below. A sheet in 4mm costs £4.40 and postage is £2.20. They are also available in 7mm scale but I can't remember the price. I have ordered some today. I'll let you know how I get on with them in due course.
