Can anyone tell me if they crew of 61057 survived after the crash that caused it to be scrapped.
Looking at pictures of it awaiting a decision it would seem unlikely

What/when/where was the accident? There are a large number of accident reports here .

Fireman was killed, as was one of the guards, the driver was seriously injured, as was another guard

No problem, Boris. Is it possible to post the picture? I don't think I've ever seen it.
I did vaguely recall that a B1 was written off fairly early when I thought about it but couldn't put my finger on which accident it was. For some reason the RI chaps didn't specify locomotive type or number in any of the reports I read. I wonder why that was?
