Yes correct on the fittings. Also Oil feed boxes and correct size Oil Lubricators to be fitted. Mouton Spencer buffers for the front in due course too

Had a real result the new Brassmaster etches for the Hornby A3 have just arrived and include the reversing rod etch which is perfect for the Wolf as the A2 Bachmann version is the wrong shape

it certainly is coming on ten fold!
Graeme's kit certainly works well, my A2/3 I saw running on Monday although unpainted...although I have now been informed she is now apple green!

Did the GNR have a spot for taking pics in works grey. The NER favoured a local "beauty spot" Jarrow Slakes mainly for the lack of any distractions in the background.

The GNR did not take many photos in works grey, but when they did the were usually in the apron in front of the Crimpsall shops.
The place for wagons and carriages is well known and was used for many years.

On page 17 of "London & North Eastern Railway in Focus" by John Crawley, there is a shot of NBL-built A1 2563 William Whitelaw in photographic grey.

Did every loco have a workshop grey photo, or was it normally first in class/first with modification?

Workshop grey was used at Darlington almost exclusively for new builds or significant rebuilds. This followed the NER tradition. There are bery few Doncaster photos in workshop grey.
