My soldering iron has never had its power/temperature regulated by anything more elegant (or expensive) than a lighting dimmer switch Rob. I seem to have coped.
Nice additions to the rolling stock.

Cheers Graeme...thats good to hear as the iron seems to buzz a tiny bit at time on the rheostat compared to the SRB and I was wondering if long term it might cause problems....if you've been using them for years that sets my mind at ease,I may even look into a more elegant enclosure!
