The TPO looks excellent too. Can I confirm if this is a "normal" kit or one in "3D" ? What diagram is this as Dia 256 is a Third vehicle not a TPO ?

That's a typo - it should be D.356, but these will also work for Dias 164 & 165.

That coach underframe looks darned interesting Bill. One thought though, I'd prefer it without footsteps (to make it universal) and fit my etched ones. A Thompson corridor coach underframe would be useful as would cosmetic ends!

As the Jidenco/Falcon etched GC Barnum bogies have a mere flat zig-zag to represent the springs, the Perseverence items are no longer available (ditto D & S, if the ever were available), and to mind my the 247 version is still little or no better than the 2 dimensional Falcon offering, then a nice new set of sides with fully three-dimensinal quality and clean features would indeed be an advance!

The price list he has sent me has GCR bogies@ £3.95 . I have ordered some Fox versions he has quoted a month for delievery

Those 3D printed components really are something. I'm very much intrigued by the clerestory - perhaps some form of felt could be used to mimic the roof lining in 4mm?

The possibilities for 3D printing are endless it seems.

The Puffers GCR bogies are still better than nothing and can be improved by removing the centre bolster and soldering a decent bolster behind the mainframe.

There is still a lot of work to do before I get to new bogie side frames, in the mean time, Ithink, white metal castings are available from 247 Developments. I'll check when I see Garry this week end.
