Good work 52D. Always great to see local types being modelled.

It's a great pity that a Y9 has never been produced in kit form.

The North East model railway show at Blyth last weekend was, as usual, up to its usual high standard being well organised in a friendly atmosphere making for a most enjoyable visit.

I attach a few pictures of their local pacifics from Gateshead and Heaton. These locos and the others from these sheds were regular visitors to Edinburgh and were well known by the spotters there.

Thanks for this. Splendid to be reminded of your superb model(s).

I've recently rather lost touch with this side of my interests, having found that getting a narrow gauge layout - notionally and fictionally set in the Lothians (East and/or Mid) - up and running is more of a task than expected. (Also more fun.)

But I have not forgotten. Some twelve gables for a cut-down Haymarket depot still languish awaiting further attention.... (That was too much of a task to leave the pieces in their present unused state - 24 arched windows, 12 circular ventilation holes. A h*ll of a lot of 80thou plastikard, and some very sore fingers....)

Meanwhile, MUST remember to keep tabs on your layout...

Excellent a model of Sunstar a Tweedmouth pacific for a while circa 63 I think.

A Tweedmouth example as you rightly say.

This one is not mine, a friend asked me to re-name and weather it along with a couple of others and they are now back with him. I chose a Tweedmouth one for a change. It's always a novelty running someone elses locos!

Lovely stuff. As ever.

(I've not given up on Lothians ECML, although marking time as yet. Although I couldn't even aspire to emulating Longdrem, it's splendid to be reminded of it from time to time.)

Just been able to figure out, yet again, how to transfer photos!

Here are the last four in the number series for the Haymarket A3s.

I have not posted for some time as I could not figure out how to resize photos to below 500 as having a few failed attempts found that it was eating into the modelling time.

Hopefully this will work out!
