Does anyone know of any books out there that have information on the line, especially the Naburn swing bridge, as I think I can fit in this on my board.
I need the dimentions of the bridge ideally, I think in N I have worked it out to 44cm long that be a total of 219ft, yes I know 43.8cm!
But I need the actual dimmentions of the 2 spans (one bigger than the other, and the box on the top.
I have found 4 pictures on the interweb, and one of 60008 over it in Yeadons and 61832 in York Revisited.

well it is still there- so I would use either an OS map, or something clever and digital like flashearth or planningportal.gov.uk

http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/planni ... igest=fst4
is it going to be a working model??!!

I know it's still there, it's just down the road, but short of taking a huge tape measure down there!
Microsoft live search
Don't know about it being a working model, I'd need working boats then really!

Well been and mearured it (in the rain!) (Got some odd looks!) One passing cyclist asked if I was sizing it up for scrap (Now there's a money making idea!)
For reference it came out at 176ft for the bigger (swinging) bit and 107.4ft for the other half
It is 22.10ft wide
The smaller half is 6.4ft high, and the bigger one aprox 11ft (Taller than me!)
