LNER Brake Vans (TOAD E)
Can anyone out there help me with some info regarding the brake van that used to work the Newcastle Quayside branch? I have some vague pictures of the one - most of the picture are of the electric locomotives - but I suspect the van was a modified Toad E. I know the ends were yellow, as the van used to lead trains down the line - but I was hoping someone might know the number of the van, what the colour was of the main body, and if it carried any special lettering.
