Is this a correct livery?

Where the B12s ever seen in the striking early BR blue livery as seen in the Argos exclusive set "The Anglian" or is this Hornby playing god again?

According to the RCTS book, valid post 1948 liveries are:

Wartime LNER Unlined Black (not yet repainted!)
LNER Green
BR Lined Black - First BR Emblem
BR Lined Black - Second BR Emblem

Post war repainting was a slow process, hence some of the wartime livery engines survived into BR ownership. Withdrawals started in 1945, so not all survived to receive the second BR emblem.

I'd have to say most likely playing god, unless anyone can find pictures or documents to prove otherwise...

That is a shame, in that livery the B12 looks lovely.
One thing I wish about Hornby is that they wouldn't do these sort of things as they can be misleading for a novice such as myself!

I personally think the B12 looks lovely anyway :).
