How about this for an HO Garratt ?
HO scale 4-8-4 + 4-8-4 articulated Beyer Garratt steam locomotive. Die-cast model based on New South Wales Ry. class AD60 prototype. Watto Redtoon-A great photograph.

However where light poorly laid track was not the case was there much that the average large standard guage Garrat could do that a 9F couldn't do equally well or even better?

I hope that thing had a mechanical stoker i would'nt fancy firing it.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

G'day Gents
Aussi Garrats, here's a couple of narrow gauge pic's, but I belive they were oil burners, they use to be converted between coal and oil depending on the price? sometimes both at the same time.
