Does anyone know?
I've got a lovely old Triang Dock Shunter from the 1960's - the one with a light at the front. Unfortunately, the light has broken on my model. I've tried my local model shops for a replacement bulb without success. Is there anywhere I can buy a bulb to restore this model to it's former glory?
Re: Does anyone know?
I bet a 12v grain of wheat bulb would do the job, just google it to find a supplier. Trial and error though to make sure it runs cool enough not to cause problems with the body work. A white LED and appropriate resistor and diode would be the modern way to go but you'd need to enlist the help of some body in the know. Great little engine, I always wanted one as a kid, even now I marvel at how much effort went into making those toys and how many are still around in working order.
