RTR Chassis for resin bodies?

Post by PhilM »

I picked up some blurb from Dean Sidings recently and see they are about to produce an N7 (both fireboxes). It also says they look to see what else they might produce to fit available chassis. Us LNER fans are always moaning about the lack of models, so it struck me that a certain amount of lobbying, and rustling up some commitment, might provoke DS or someone like them to produce something else useful.

So does anyone know what current RTR chassis's would be appropriate for LNER models?

I am a exGER man myself so would be very interested in such gems as a Claud, J15-20, L1, F4-7 etc. I have also seen a conversion of a J72 to J 65. So are there any possibilities out there? I suppose an original B12 would be a possibility.

Oh dear - maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree :(

Thinking about models previously available in white metal for a RTR chassis, would a J17 or J11 fit a modern 0-6-0 chassis and would anyone want one (I already have both so I probably wouldnt :? )
