P60 is the LNER Coach teak which is a lot browner than the pictures of the CCT above , perhaps lighting conditions
Here is one of mine in that colour

Re Black solebars I did think the same but have now confirmed they should be teak. Still not convinced re Black ends ??. The entry quoted above by Jonathan was amended from Straw lettering to White.

Very nicely weathered! You seem to have finished the upper wood section slightly differently from the lower steel section.

Might I ask where you obtained the transfers for the small lettering showing dimensions etc. down on the bottom right?

Another question - when was this small lettering introduced? Someone told me c.1935 - is that correct?

Colour of (steel) solebars on NPCS seems still unresolved with contradictory opinions/evidence. Can you say how you have confirmed that they should be teak? Is it possible that this also changed at some stage?

CCT is all the same base colour (P60) trick of the light.

Transfers are from Precision Labels Jonathan advertised them on the Classified section a while back. Precision may still have some , send him a email he is very helpful.

Small Lettering I think is from 1923 Bill will probably know?

Harris has Suburbans etc painted teak in Gresley Carriages which is good as you going to get , I think !! ??

cheers Mick
