Graeme I won't be tempted yet with an LMS liveried coach as they appear to be in unlined LMS wartime livery so not suited to 1930s. I'm sure though that in due course Bachmann will release them in full late 20s-30s lined LMS livery at a similar price to the current LNWR liveried range.

I hadn't paid great attention Andrew to the exact liveries on offer from Bachmann initially, so was merely generalising about LMS livery. Not everybody has to confine themselves to liveries as supplied of course, although having to change the livery, or add to it, wouldn't make the price any more tempting!

Myself, though its a little aspirational in so much that I'm in the process of moving my layout from fairly generic LNER in look to something more explicitly M&GN in flavour.
Lack of M&GN ready-run locos/coaches/components was certainly an issue to my early attempt at including M&GN elements in the layout...the irony here is that Bachmann have brought these out after I completed a couple of the equivalent Ratio kit and thus don't particularly need any more. If they bring out the some of the MR Clerestory that were transferred I might well want some
That said, as others have said M&GN services travelled as far as Nottingham and Birmingham on a weekly (daily?) basis. You could likely justify having a few of these on a layout set in the East Midlands.
