Hi guys.

Annoyingly just got out a set of 20mm Romford wheels I have got off eBay a while back and noticed 4 are 16 spoke and for some reason 2 are 18 spoke. Anyone got
couple of 20mm 16 spoke (insulated) knocking about they would swap for 18 spoke ones also insulated?

Grumble!

When I should be doing almost anything else I started doodling up a C4 for 3D printing.
As you can see its at the very early stages. To save time I was thinking of buying one of those static models of a Director that came with a magazine for the tender. I am pretty sure the C4 had the same tender as an O4 but would the Director one be appropriate? Also might see if I can pinch the chimney and dome off it as the compound curves on those are not easy to do in TinkerCad.

Actually I think it's pretty clear the dome and chimney are not suitable - will need to think of an alternative. Tender I can't see many differences in photos.

Hi Phil
Although I don't have one of the Magazine D11s I'm sure the tender would be a self trimming type and therefore not suitable for a C4. Bachmann do have a spares website where you can buy spare parts. The J11 tender in LNER livery would be close to what you want
You have to buy body, underframe and wheels separately. They're not particularly cheap but you do get a very good tender.
I've got several for projects like a B9, B4, D10
Regards
Andrew

Watching with interest as am building one in brass at the moment. How easy to convert the cad to a b1 which was just the six coupled version of these?

Phil I should have mentioned that I've been using brass chimneys from PDK which you can purchase separately. The chimney and dome from D10 are probably suitable.

Theoretically pretty straightforward - but I am a long way off proving this one will be successful yet!
