I had to share this! Talk about Nickel Silver Origami!

Hornby engine with Bill Bedford valve gear. Temporary renumbering pending a visit to the paint shop.

33 on the other. Then I gave up and used nuts and bolts.

What is the prototype anyway? I don't think I've seen that valve gear on a Black Five before...

The Black Fives had numerous variations i'm assuming that the above picture shows one of the class with Capprotti valve gear.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

It's Stephenson valve gear, so has a definite S&D/NER provenance.
So - did anyone dare tell Stephenson, "It's not Rocket science"?
