Manors station and Trafalgar Yard.
We all come to a point in our modelling when the last great project looms.Having reached that point a few years ago I am still waiting for the house move that will allow construction to begin.Research therefore continues. The last layout will incorporate Manors,Trafalgar yard and Quayside. The Quayside branch is an ideal modelling subject turning as it does through 180 degrees. Then there is the ECML to provide the mainline fun.Any information on Manors,Trafalgar,Quayside 1948-1955 would be most appreciated.I have however made a start on the most essential piece of motive power for this project as shown below.[

Welcome!
Well we have quite a few people with an interest in the Newcastle area - including Quayside.
I'm currently delving into NER - but much earlier, 7mm scale, and much further south (a private branch that linked to the Leeds&Selby).

Re: Manors station and Trafalgar Yard.
Good info and pics in the Oakwood Press volume 167 The Electric Locomotives Of The North Eastern Railway. by Ken Hoole.
I believe it is out of print at the moment but copies do appear on E Bay.
