Very very sadly Paul Kane collapsed and died of a suspected Heart attack while firing the southbound Tynesider on Bittern yesterday............terrible shame . but if you have to go.......can anyone think of anywhere better than the footplate of an A4 at speed on the ECML.........he went doing something he loved,you can't ask for more.May he enjoy life on that big footplate in the sky.

A great man who will be greatly missed, i'm so glad I had the pleasure of working with him, had some great times with him. RIP Paul.
