GC&MJR
can anyone ID this box on the GC&M joint line through Widnes (the widnes loop ), I think it is a MS&LR box from about the 1870,s. It was named "Tanhouse Crossing" and was where the line crossed Tanhouse Lane in Moss Bank, Widnes. I think it opened in a 1877 but not certain, the photo is from 1966.[img]

Re: GC&MJR
This is a Steven's built cabin and although I don't have an opening date it closed 06/12/64.
Info is from John Dixon and Mike Addisons 'Cheshire Lines Committee signal box register'1996 which for compleatness included the Widnes Loop.
