Some photos from a quick trip to Beamish today - wasn't aware trains from Rowley were running, so was surprised when walking towards the town to see NCB 22 shunting a tanker at the other end of town, luckily got the station in time to see it do some more shunting including pulling Y7 985 out before starting services
Seaham Harbour coal drops awaiting reassembly
1949 built Barclay NCB 22 from the Bowes Railway, where it worked from new
Pulling Y7 985 out to gain access to the carriage
985 and NER Birdcage brakevan
Locomotive coaling and watering stage taking shape, will make a good photo backdrop when in use
985 now faces west, to equal out tyre wear (the demonstration line is mostly straight with a right hand curve at the end)
