Re, the above LNER Ivatt J1, checked picture,734, is not a Ivatt J1, I would say a Stirling engine ( poss J7 or J4 ?)

Further, checking came up with 'Stirling standard goods' 5' wheels and I would say rebuilt by Ivatt with domed boiler and new smokebox door.

Interesting picture, I did'nt know any had survived, into LNER days.

G'dday all
734 was a Stirling J6 (GNR) class rebuilt to a J5 (GNR j4 LNER) and withdrawn 1926.
731 did survive until 1934.
