I'm posting the photos below in response to interest (in the 'New England Shed 34E' topic) in the BR 2MT 2-6-0s 78013/28 with cut-down cabs used at Leicester for the Desford Junction to Leicester (West Bridge) branch via Glenfield Tunnel. There's relevance to the LNER forum - the class was constructed at Darlington, and 78013 was one of the class used initially on the NE Region.

Above the cab/tender is the Leicester 'birdcage' - a fenced footpath used as a vantage point by generations of us East Midlands spotters.
