Lovely picture hq1hitchin, when railways WERE RAILWAYS. :wink:

A friend and myself walked the Welwyn Garden City-Luton (Chaul End) section of this branch back in 1969 and it was a very picturesque branch indeed a great shame that it didn't survie the Beeching AXE or even better was saved for preservation??. :wink:

Yep, nice find, there are some pictures on 'Disused Stations'.

Amazing where those Cravans units got to in the early days.
