Lovely picture hq1hitchin, when railways WERE RAILWAYS.
A friend and myself walked the Welwyn Garden City-Luton (Chaul End) section of this branch back in 1969 and it was a very picturesque branch indeed a great shame that it didn't survie the Beeching AXE or even better was saved for preservation??.

Yep, nice find, there are some pictures on 'Disused Stations'.
Amazing where those Cravans units got to in the early days.
