60122 is in LNER green. The change to BR blue, with first BR emblem, came in May 1950. It was named in July 1950. The picture would most likely have been taken in 1949 or early 1950.

All the Nottingham Victoria pictures are taken at the southern end of the station. The A1 was based at Kings Cross, so probably heading home? The leading coach is an ex-GNR semi-open brake third running on 10' wb bogies.

Great pics, delightful to see. A1s were rare indeed through the old Vic. I remember seeing Alcazar on a diverted Yorkshire Pullman sometime in the mid fifties. But apart from that nothing until shortly before closure of the old GCR mainline when W P Allen and Scottish Union appeared on specials.
