Photo's of former signalboxes on the LNER

Post by Signalboxes.com »

Hello, just joined the forum, so forgive me if this link is not allowed, I did look for a links section, but couldn't find one.

Please visit my website www.signalboxes.com containing former signalboxes on the LNER and surrounding areas in Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire.

Thankyou, Frankie.

This is another really good site, lots of detail and thought has gone into it; thanks for sharing it with us.
Now all we need for for some other tame S&T guys to do the same for other parts of the LNER.

Excellent sites...thanks for posting the links.
Wonder if anyone has pics of the erstwhile Grantham North box, beyond the usual 'end on' shot from the down platform end?
Cheers

If there are any of Forest Hall signal box on the Newcastle to Edinburgh ECML section please post, probably one of the most interesting and precarious signal boxes I've seen!

Robert - you've probably seen the book by now (or maybe the picture's been published before), but there's one in colour showing the 'box from the north on page 57 of Nick Pigott's Keith Pirt Grantham Portfolio - it also shows the system of point rodding running northwards from the frame.
