Hi this posting is to give other members of the A3 class a bit of limelight normally associated with you know who. First up Dick Turpin.

Next i cant identify any of the locos but the train is supposed to be the Flying Scotsman. At least one of the trains isnt as it seems to be the Queen of Scots.

another of the trains appears to be aparcel train with a nuber of shorter wheel base vans behind the loco.
i think the people that catalogue film archives are railway illiterite and just look too see what it says on the can and what it says is the truth .if you look at LAYING THE LINES AT YORK STATION as the second part of it is clearly not york the first part may also be the rear of the west end of ,newcastle central station ,but someone may be able to confirm it.and what they are doing.

Brilliant stuff - that speedboat gets thrashed every time!
The final train in the speedboat clip appears to have a 5-coach articulated set as part of its formation, the first and fourth carriage of which are carrying long headboards. Are my eyes deceiving me - I thought they were only used on GER suburban services?

It's the Leeds Restaurant set, isn't it?

Interesting to see the ex GCR "Director" on the Pullman. I think that this is more likely to be the "Yorkshire Pullman" than the "Queen of the Scots".
