Malcolm do you have a picture of the aircraft as discussed in another thread over the Royal Border Bridge in the race or do you want me to insert from my collection.
The rest of you an open question what is the vehicle on the rear of the train crossing the Royal Border Bridge.

Looks like a long wheelbase, possibly fish.

I'm not as good at train formations as you guys, but it looks like an odd formation to me. Stopping train?

Looks like a fish or ventilated van to me.

Edit - might be a cattle van, but it's really at the wrong end of the train. I'd be very doubtful it would be attached to a passenger service if empty.

Fish would make sense, I understand it wasn't unknown to attach them to passenger workings due to the need for speed.

The line below the viaduct was laid to recover the derailed trucks which were pushed over the bankside, it was removed after the operation.

Fish is probably correct for the last venicle in the train crossing the Royal Border Bridge if the train is an Edinburgh - Newcastle slow it would maybe have picked up at Burnmouth having come off the Eyemouth Branch or pussibly just been marshalled on at Berwick.

The train was most likly a stopper as the last coaches were non corrodor with most lickly a fish wagon yes the venting looks like a cattle wagon but i think the doors are full depth ie not like on a cattle wagon.

The bridge is easy, what about the strange coloured loco?

The speedboat is on the River Ouse, it's Offord with the church in the backgound - before the curve was straightened out ? There used to be a freight depot there on the downside which recieved ferry wagons off 8B34 02:12 Temple Mills - New England - I will remember the TOPS code in a minute...
