Silver Fox: Interesting to see the photo of A4 2511 on the Silver Jubilee. As the 'standby' engine for the service stationed at Gateshead her opportunities on the streamliners were greatly restricted compared with the King's Cross silver trio, though she did make some appearances.

A Comparison-"Locomotion" No.1, Stockton and Darlington Railway, Built 1825. No. 2402 "City of York" London and North Eastern Railway. Built at darlington in 1922.

the raven pacifics were rather graceful in their own way. Was it a two or three cylinder layout?

not got any for a while, due to house being rewired/extention being built, but now the house has been rewired, this came in the middle of it, and just got round to sharing it.

Lovely postcards,thanks for sharing them with us.Next time i'm in York,i'm going to try those collector fairs they seem to have regularly in-is it the church hall,opposite the Cornish pasty company-near where the NRM used to have their shop?My wife once got a cracking set of Flamborough cards from there.Must look harder!
