Hi, When the locomotive, No.6701 as it was at the time, was in store at Doncaster between 1941 and '47 (when it went to the Netherlands) it did venture out for a short time in 1945. At this time, September 1945 the locomotive visited Kings Cross station, presumably for an official inspection. On 11th December it was seen at Clapham Junction SR. Shortly afterwards it again left Doncaster to take part in the Sheffield Centenary Exhibition. Has anyone ever seen photographs or have knowledge of the locomotive during these visits. For the Clapham junction event, the locomotive may possibly have been going to 'South Bank' for some kind of exhibition. (No.26020 went via Clapham following a similar route on its way to the Exhibition in 1951). I am writing a fully comprehensive book on on the locomotive from its conception until its demise at Crewe in 1970.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Locomotive No.26000
Afraid I cannot help with images or information, but I'm glad somebody is writing up the full history of Tommy.
