Below an atmospheric shot of Kings Cross on a rainy day in January 1970 with a Brush type 4 (class 47) heading light engine along the M2 route onto the Down Main no.2 line and passing the old 1933 signal box which was to finally close in the autumn of 1971 and is probably heading over to the passenger loco for refuelling after brining in 1A02 which during the early 1970s arrived in 'the cross' during the weekday mornings sometime between 09:30-0945am.
