12 is a 398 class built by NER at Darlington in June 1878
160 is a Longridge built 0-6-0 introduced October 1847 for the YN&BR withdrawn 1863
935 is a 398 class built by Neilsons in Jan 1874 withdrawn 1922.
633 is a 398 class built by NER Gateshead July 1879 withdrawn October 1901
760 is a 708 class 0-6-0 built by Stephensons W/No.1961 withdrawn 1911.
843 is a 398 built by Hawthorns W/No.1590 replaced by an S class 4-6-0 in 1919, this batch of locos were nicknamed Belgians as Hawthorns imported Belgian labour to break a strike.
Should 1065 actually be 1063 i cant read the number very well?
1090 is a 398 built by NER Darlington January 1881 scrapped February 1924.
1206 built by Hopkins and Gilks for the S&DR W/No.250 in April 1868 as No.206, renumbered to 1206 on the NER classed as 1001 class by the NER and scrapped in 1906.
1686 is carrying a duplicate list number further research needed.
1719 is carrying a duplicate list number further research needed.
1757 is carrying a duplicate list number further research needed.
1771 is carrying a duplicate list number further research needed.
No.1 is not an NER loco.
Last picture absolutely no idea possibly Irish?

No1 is an NBR loco, probably a Holmes one by the cab, at Scotland Street / Rodney Street Tunnel (I recognised it's distinctive portal, then I found a bigger view of the same original here):

Oops, according to the site I've linked to, it's a Wheatley loco rebuilt by Holmes.

T R Pearce identifies the last loco as Stockton & Darlington No 128 'Elton" photographed at Shildon. It became NER No 1128 and was included in the 1001 Class.

No.128 was East Mount. No.182 was Elton becoming NER 1128 & 1182 from the Baxter Brothers British Locomotive Catalogue 1825 - 1923

Quite right 52D. My typo (twice) - Pearce says this is No 182.

Hi 4812 i try to be as accurate as possibille as many mistakes have been perpetuated regarding the NER. I hope i manage to get everything correct in my volume YN&BR locos up to the formation of the NER. I already have found quite a few errors but Baxters volumes are about the best effort i have seen up to now.
1065 was originally a Bouch 1001 class built at Darlington July 1871 rebuilt to a 398 class in 1878.

I shall look forward to your YN&BR loco history - successive railway 'Waste Paper Drives' have a lot to answer for! Concerning our 1001, I could kid myself that I can make out the bottom halves of ELT on the loco's nameplate.
