Here are images of the medal given by the NER to its ambulance centre employees for distinguished action in the bombardment of 16 December 1914. 36 medals were presented, 14 of them to NER police officers. A photo of the presentation of the first 34 is attached, which shows the 14 police officers in uniform. The names of the first 34 are in the final image. The final 2 medals were to ticket collectors James Devlin and James Walker.
The medal to Reginald Sanderson was sold at auction in 2011 for £420. I have the one to James Walker.
Has anyone come across any of the others?
