I managed to get these 2 rare LNER Cast iron notices at an auction last weekend. 2 more for my ever growing collection, I've more than some museums now!!

I guess the electrification notice was possibly from the electrified lines in the Newcastle on Tyne area.

As far as I remember the LNER elevated rails notice is rarer than the NER version. Both could be seen on the Tyneside Loop but the South Shields branch only had the LNER.

You were lucky to find these at auction. I've twice contacted a well known national auction house with regard to selling an elevated rail sign and both times they have let me down citing the fact that the plate is too heavy!
As Pinza mentions mine is an LNER plate and it was acquired during site clearance works at Pelaw many years ago.

I used to have the NER Overhead Lines cast iron sign which was from the Shildon - Newport system and stupefyingly rare.
