LNER Ferry PSS Wingfield Castle of 1934

Went aboard 1934 built paddle steamer ferry 'Wingfield Castle' on a visit to Hartlepool next week - free to go on board, there is a coffee shop in the first class area but you can also explore other areas - the car deck, upper deck, bridge, wheelhouse etc. you can also see the engine still in situ behind glass, and go on a walkway behind the very, very impressive boilers. Highly recommend a visit, it is part of the Museum of Hartlepool which is free to get in to (and has a few nice models, and also an LNER flat wagon alongside 'Wingfield Castle'), adjoined to the Hartlepool Maritime Experience including 1817 built Leda Class Frigate HMS Trincomalee which is absolutely superb (and a lot cheaper and better interpreted than other historic ships). Here's a few images, more to come
