Given the present preoccupation with Gauge clearance and the number of special workings that are cancelled because they are deemed "out of gauge", I wonder how the authorities would view running a western loco over the border now?

Back in 1966/67 when Clun Castle came to Newcastle there were a few problems with it at Central catching platforms and of course there is the Hall that should have come off at Leicester working to Bradford then being eventually impounded before being allowed to slink back west
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
