note-ing from the above timetable, to todays time table is three min's quicker, however to atchive this they have, straightened the track thro' Warrenby (no Fishermans,Tod Point, or Warrenby Halt) lifted the slack throu disused Grangetown station and removed Cargo Fleet station thus straighening the track, and removed the junctions for the steel works and dock area's. also remember that the beloved 142's are only 2 car were as the staemers averaged a minimum of 5.

considering the outcry of resevation charging by the failed natex franchise it is interesting to note that BR charged 2d for it. Great info though a real historic piece.
don't forget about the Great Eastern Railway

Nice shot of the Skinningrove diesel 'Sentinel' Mr B. Here's one on the same piece of track - Thornaby WD 90132 come to some grief. Photographed en route to school, circa November 1963.

well RedKlad I missed that one, nice photo, around this period in life other things on the mind motor bikes and the girls, alas the bike went but one of the lasses cept hold !

Not something I know a great deal about, but I imagine the Marske one is quite scarce?

Seeing the above pic of 90132 almost on its side, I wonder was there something in the sea air that made railwaymen a bit clumsy when working in the Redcar area?

I dont think they fixed it, potash still use the same loop and its just as bad, even still got the 1900's point lever !

Not sure about that Booklad but will do some research, maybe late 1950's early 60's as I've not seen a diesel with excursion, any way heres a postcard of Middlesbrough station taken from the main entrance...
