Okay people, got some more coach interiors for you (well, two actually).
I find the publicity shot of the tourist stock especially interesting as if you look closely at the scenery out of the window, it would be appear that the train is flying (bad artwork there).

Wonderful snapshot of 30s life in the top photo. Observe, for instance, the intense young man lower left reading a no doubt improving book. Note the hanky in the breast pocket of the suit, worn over a pullover. A wannabee toff? Then there's the attendant, what's that thing hanging from his left arm? Note also the toper to whom he is dispensing yet another ale whilst the babe sat next to him averts her gaze, presumably really embarrassed to be with such a boozer. Then there's the couple on the lower right, things look very promising there. Was rail travel ever that good in the 3rd? Those certainly were the days, thank you Malcolm

PS - models presumably all LNER office staff on day release. We were warned as BR staff that to be seen in such publicity shots sounded the death knell for your career....
A topper is proper if the train's a non-stopper!

You can still sample this type of seat in one of the teak coaches on the NYMR.
