Locomotive shot number 46 shows D31 class 4-4-0 no.9312 leaving Wall on the Border Counties line in 1938 - picture also appears in Middleton Press' 'Hexham to Hawick'.

I'd say no. 11 is a Q6 - the Q7 has a bigger gap between the two leading axles...

Yes a Q6 ,a Q7 has a dropped footplate at the smoke box.

no; 1 is York shed yard looking north.
no; 11 is definitely a Q6 with the rebuilt tender (ex D20?) unique to this class
no; 21 is possibly Neville Hill as some Royal Scots were stored there in 1963 (seen to the right of the J39)
no; 26 is possibly York shed seen over the fence from Leeman Road
no; 30 looks to be Leeds Central on up express
