Patrick Stirling class E2 78 series built between 1882 and 1883, non survived to become LNER locos.

Is the setting for this lovely photograph Nottingham Victoria? It looks like that lovely station to me, from what I can remember from fifty years ago. Do we agree? Please confirm my belief. I would welcome your thoughts and/or comments.
It is interesting to note that the locomotive is carrying the Class A Headcode for an Express Passenger Train. In its day, this locomotive would have been in express passenger train service. In those days, train loads would have been relatively light and train speeds would have been relatively low.

it is Nottm Vic of very fond memory. The station then had only been open for about ten years. The facing 'wall' of the station trainshed in the background was then of metal and glass. Later (WW2) it was replaced by very unattractive corrugated iron.
