LNER/BR transitional period photos

Late on Monday evening I uploaded 51 LNER and BR(NE) images to my Fotopic gallery at:

These shots are from part of a collection of 5” x 3” negatives I bought nearly a year ago and the collection is mainly northerly climes based with very little from the SR/GWR and only a handful from Scotland. This set of images contains most of the liveries associated with the transitional period but only one showing the NE legend on a tender (a withdrawn C6) or tank side. That said, it’s been a fascinating exercise pertaining to an area of the country from which I previously had only limited material to work with.

A wonderful collection of photos there, but the highlight has to be the pics of the Beaver-tail coach, seeing that this coach looks as if it's brand new, was this coach kept in storage during WW2, as they would have been a bit of a liability during the war years.
