Hi im posting this view of Berwick station pre LNER rebuild it is amazing when you look closely at the detail. The costumes of the people, the amount of clutter on the platform and the coaches.
Im a complete ignoramus about coaches but Coachmann and Bill Bedford no doubt will be able to enlighten us. The first coach has a board that although partially obscured seems to read
xxxxxxx Forth/Tay Bridge. Are the coaches East Coast Joint Stock?
The shot is taken from the recently launched Railways of Berwick and the Eastern Borders facebook page. The subject matter is from an area roughly bounded by Alnmouth, Reston and St Boswells feel free to look in and make comments and if you have any material post it we also want to see pictures of infrastructure and connecting Industrial lines.
