Re: Postcards
Yes - I think so too. Notice the different sizes of the spectacle plates? Were there be many other engines where they weren't the same?
A topper is proper if the train's a non-stopper!
Re: Postcards
Six nice Great Central Railway postcards. I seem to remember that a while back on the Modellers threads that someone was having trouble finding good colour images of the Great Central livery for locos.

Re: Postcards
Please note above, Barnum coaches not Barnham i think the name had something to do with the American circus chap.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
Re: Postcards
These two came into my hands today. Two of the Dennis Publications (Scarborough) Collectors set.
Must be from York Museum a while ago because I can't remember them. However, really nice shots.

Re: Postcards
These look to have been taken at York (Scarborough platforms) pre remodelling circa 1980
Was there an exhibition at the station then ?

Re: Postcards
Yes.To celebrate 100 years of York station.
I visited on 12th June 1977.I'm not sure how long it was on for.
10p entry!
Exhibits included Mallard,Hardwicke,a Deltic,a Class 56 and various items of rolling stock.
I have a virtually identical slide I took of 1621.You can see the Class 56 in the background.
