I found this interesting postcard at Yarmouth Market. It shows presumedly a Yarmouth South Town to London express arriving at Beccles. There is also a good view of Beccles North Box. I'm no expert on locomotives so would be interested in identifying what type it is and roughly what year.

It has a brass capped chimney and still has the old type smokebox door and ash ejectors, ( big brass pipes at the base of the smokebox) so the date is between 1905 and sometime in WW1.

Thanks for the info Bill. I discovered another picture and a write up on the engine in Cecil J Allen's "Great Eastern Railway" Oh for a time machine and a digital SLR.
